Welcome to an exciting new season of 2oo8 at Rock Glen Resort. With some positive changes and also embracing those from last season we are eager to get things under way! Hopefully any winter blues one may have had are melted away with the snow.
This years calendar is full of events to keep every age group busy. So come on out and participate- watch- help and support. REMEMBER we are here for you, and do like to see our members satisfied.

You could be earning points to take an affordable trip with your family to surrounding attractions here in Ontario.
For example, helping out on a wagon ride; doing a craft; lending a hand a major event;
supervising the pool areas or with B.B.Q's are just some of the areas for assistance.
The more you volunteer the more points you will earn. Save them up and receive tickets for the Lion's Safari, Niagara Fall's attractions, Ontario place and much more to choose from. If the resort is where you like to stay, you can get free rentals. What ever works best for you! So don't sit there! Get up, get involved, and get more bonuses out of your membership. SPRING IS AROUND THE CORNER
The clocks have jumped ahead on March 9th, and no matter what that 'darn" Wiarton Willie says, spring does begin on March 20th!! Then comes Easter! so what's next?
SPRING CLEAN UP at the resort.
We are looking for our friendly volunteers from last year, plus any new faces that would like to get involved in the action. Rent a cabin, or stay in your own trailer. The clean up date is Saturday May 3rd . This weekends "reward" is that the resort will be feeding you on the day of work, PLUS we invite you for breakfast on us, Sunday morning.

SOME NEW FACES ON STAFF BUT FAMILIAR TO THE PARK
We have 2 more enthusiastic people on our staff here at Rock Glen. The faces may be familiar to you. Joe and Nancy Fournie. Joe will over see the smooth running of the resort, help to keep everyone happy and things running to there fullest. Any concerns or you just want to send a friendly cheer his way, he'll be more then happy to see your friendly faces.
Nancy will be the main person behind the reservation desk, with a lot of knowledge and patience she is a great asset to the resort. So when you check in, high five to Nancy and lets enjoy another great summer.
*DANCE*DANCE*DANCE*DANCE
This past season many members have approached me with concerns about the unsupervised kids running around the dances as well as the music. With this happening, our dances have not been as well attended by the "wiser in years" crowd. Well, we have revamped these dances so everyone can enjoy them. With spot dances, prizes, enforcing the unsupervised children rule, as well as a NEW SELECTION OF MUSIC.
So please, take some time from those fire pits and enjoy an evening of music and fun here at ROCK GLEN RESORT
For all you younger ones, there are still dances that will be targeted just for you. The music that you may prefer will eagerly be played for you as well as those flashy lights. Please don't be discouraged, still come out and enjoy all dances, lets just respect all other members.
** PARKING**
There is a lot of conflict about parking passes and family/guest passes. There is 1 car / site allowed. Yes some things maybe a little different for some because of the contract that was signed at the time of joining. Please, this information is the guide lines for the majority of the members here. Also, these need to be enforced for your safety, your kids safety. . These are bylaws that we also need to follow.We are not out to do wrong by anyone. We want what's best for you. GUEST PARKING/CAR- $5.00 EXTRA PERSONS( NOT COVERED IN CONTRACT) -$3.00 EACH. MEMBER IS ALLOWD 2 FREE GUESTS ONLY.
Everyone must stop at the office, PLEASE make sure that your guests DO register. This helps us to Know who is allowed in the resort and who we should question. Due to the insurance regulations that we, as owners must follow.
TEEN CORNER
It's back by popular demand! The graffiti contest for the teens 13-18. Graffiti contest will be held on the Aug. long week-end. This will be a one day event this time, the winner to be announced that evening.
TEEN TIME is an opportunity for our young adults to gather and just hang out with the use of the main hall. So come and play those video games, or enjoy some free pool, music and jam with the other young talents in the resort. This time is set aside for you.
END OF SCHOOL dance will be held for all you guys and girls to celebrate another year completed. The curfew is still in effect though, so 10:30 be on your sites please.
NEW YEARS CELEBRATION 2007
Well the year 2007 ended with a small but fun gathering at the resort. A pot luck supper to start out with , followed was the horse races . This seemed to spark some interests for our summer program. So with the horses well rested and fed we will be seeing them in the warmer months ahead. A game of DICE and a growing $$ pot was finally won by Joe Ysebaert ( approx. $27) . All those who missed out on the evening please keep it in mind for next year, join us for the fun & food.

Fishing is a great relaxing sport enjoyed by many in the resort. The stocked pond has some challenging size fish for ones excitement. However we would like to remind the parents that by taking the barb off the hook this will save on accidents of a hook getting stuck in someone.This also allows for easier release of the catch. The pond bottom looks shallow BUT it is mushy causing it to be very hard to stand up in or even walk out of. We advise and would really like that all kids be accompanied by an adult when there.
NO ONE UNDER THE AGE OF 12 IS TO BE UNSUPERVISED BY AN ADULT. If these rules are not followed the person(s ) will be asked to leave immediately for the remainder of the day.
Lets remember those helmets when on the bikes. Watching for trailers, trucks and cars is important. they have trouble seeing objects when moving into their sites. KEEP A SHARP EYE PLEASE.
If your pet hasn't mastered the art of scooping it's own poop, then it is your responsibility.It may be your toes that hit the squish.
* NEW THIS YEAR *
For those who like to bring their 4 legged loved ones along on the family vacation we have added a $10.00 cleaning cost to the cabins that include pets.
We do like to see so many families with the added loved ones. Especially since I (Dana) am a animal lover. It was disappointing to see the faces of some of the younger ones last year that came to take part in the animal parade. The unexpected downpour called this event off. Lets hope this year the sun is shinning and we can enjoy this parade again.
