The dream started in 1972, Bob and Shirley Russell bought Rock Glen Campground. Due to increased problems associated with public campgrounds they became a membership resort in 1993. In 1997 they joined Resort Developers Association (RDA) . Their recognition of the growing need for private, family-oriented recreation facilities resulted in the building of Rock Glen Family Resort and our early success is unparalleled in the recreation industry. Happy families, completed promises and continued improvements are only part of our success story.
Our philosophy is to continue to strive to provide the finest outdoor recreation facilities and services possible for the members of our park system.
INTERNAL ORGANIZATION
The internal structure at Rock Glen Family Resort is fairly simple. There is an accounting department, a sales department and an operational department. Within each operational structure are various departments which include security, housekeeping, recreation, store, maintenance, reservations and registration. The park manager is responsible for the day to day operation of the park, the controller oversees accounting and the sales manager directs the sales department. In any organization, communication is the most important key to success. Without input from members we may miss vital ingredients which could hurt the entire park. No matter how small the suggestion or problem, please feel free at all times to consult with park management. We do want to improve constantly and need communication at all levels to do so.
The recreation department encourages families to have fun together during their leisure time. The recreation department offers a wide range of scheduled events and activities. Hopefully, there is something for every member to enjoy and if we don’t have what you need please let us know. We are always looking for fresh and new ideas. While we always feel the more the merrier, our members should never feel that they are required to participate in these group events. You enjoy them when you want to.
Maintenance and housekeeping departments strive to make our park safe and clean for your enjoyment. If a member runs across a problem situation, electrical, maintenance or plumbing difficulty, he/she may report it directly to the department staff or to the office. Our staff is here to help you have an easygoing, carefree and safe vacation.
Diplomacy is used to enforce rules and regulation of the park. To operate the resort properly a few rules to serve as guidelines for the safety, health and maximum enjoyment of all members and their families at all times are required. The rules are subject to change as conditions require without prior notice. Our rules are simply good etiquette.
